A white Suzuki SUV has ploughed into Pedestrians in Melbourne, Australia, leaving fourteen people injured and others in critical condition…
The driver of the vehicle and one other man has been arrested by Melbourne police.
Witnesses have described how the vehicle went at 60MPH, and did not brake as it mounted the curb and hit Pedestrians. The incident happened at 4.40pm local time.
Whilst it has not been confirmed to be a terrorist attack yet, Victoria police have described the incident as a deliberate act.
A spokesperson said: ‘The driver of the vehicle and a second man have been arrested and are in police custody. A number of people were treated at the scene for a range of injuries and have been transported to hospital.’
The incident happened near Finders Street station, which has now been closed.
A witness described hearing screams before seeing ‘people flying everywhere’.
