President Trump has apologised for ReTweeting videos from Britain First…
Britain First are a notorious, far right group that spread hate amongst people directed towards Muslims. Donald Trump got backlash after ReTweeting out of context videos of Muslims from Britain’s First twitter account, which claimed that these people were asylum seekers causing fights and committing crimes.
Following this, Donald Trump refused to acknowledge his far right propaganda, and until now he’s remained fairly quiet on the whole thing.
However, sitting down with Piers Morgan, Trump was asked about his ReTweets.
Piers tweeted: ‘BREAKING NEWS: President Trump has publicly apologised for ReTweeting far-right group Britain First. Says he didn’t know who they were. ‘I don’t want to be involved with these people. If you’re telling me they’re horrible racist people. I certainly apologise.”
Piers has been keen to tell people he is a ‘good friend’ of Trump, and was quick to announce that they would be meeting for a video interview. The interview will air on the 28th January at 10pm on ITV.
