Mass-farmed foreign fur has been mis-sold to consumers as synthetic by U.K. retailers, such as Misguided.
A scientific investigation found that these ‘faux fur’ actually comes from raccoon dogs, rabbits and even cats.
MPs will now being an enquiry into this, and determine why this has happened.
Retailers in question have said they were unaware and will support the investigation, and did not purposefully mislead customers.
